Detailed Information about Role and Responsibilities:
As an Associate Quality Engineer Trainee, your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to test strategy development for a product area.
- Participating in test design reviews, system test case reviews, usability, integrations, or functional testing, and periodic project reviews.
- Developing and maintaining automation test scripts, tools, and simulators for various types of testing.
- Communicating with product developers and technical support specialists on testing strategies.
- Collaborating with senior peers on design reviews, system test case reviews, and more.
- Assisting with the development and documentation of test strategies.
- Monitoring testing execution and gathering KPI metrics for improvement.
- Reporting and documenting issues in the defect tracking system.
- Assisting with the analysis, root cause identification, and problem-solving.
- Participating in retrospective/Post Mortem meetings.
- Ensuring test documentation and traceability.
- Learning from experience and consultations with senior peers on non-complex projects.
- Being proactive in communicating with team members to resolve issues.
- Prioritizing and escalating issues when necessary.
- Assisting in the development of a test strategy and test designs.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Up to 3 years of experience in software quality engineering.
- Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Understanding of quality assurance processes, with a clear understanding of automation practices.
- Familiarity with software development and programming languages, such as Java and SQL.
- Coding skills are highly desirable, preferably in C#.
- Knowledge of web-based technologies, including JavaScript, XML, JSON, RESTful services, and related technologies.
- Strong analytical and logical skills, including troubleshooting skills.
