Detailed Information about Role and Responsibilities
Wolters Kluwer is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their team in the role of an IAM Engineer. As an IAM Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management Concepts: You will need to be well-versed in the concepts of Identity and Access Management.
- Protocols Expertise: You should have a strong understanding of protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Onboarding Applications: Your role will involve onboarding applications to the Single Sign-On (SSO) system, ensuring secure access.
- Integration: Implement various integrations with customers, securely sending data to them.
- Platform Services: Understand and implement platform services based on functional, technical, and user requirements.
- Automation: Look for ways to automate processes for onboarding new client applications to Ping Federate and Azure.
- Issue Resolution: Take responsibility for validating and fixing issues within the integration lifecycle.
- Kibana Platform Exposure: Utilize the Kibana platform for logging and monitoring purposes.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Education Requirement: A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or IT, or a related discipline, or an equivalent field.
- Experience Requirement: A minimum of 2 years of IT experience, with a strong understanding of network protocols and security principles.
- Technical Expertise: Experience working with Azure Active Directory or Ping Federate as an authorization server, along with knowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks and protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, LDAP, SAML, etc.
- Customer Engagement: A proven track record of working with external customers to understand their needs and translating them into technical solutions.
- Scoping and Communication: The ability to properly scope requirements, identify tasks, and determine the level of effort, as well as effectively communicate technical decisions and their rationales to business unit stakeholders and teams.
