Job Description:
AMD is hiring for the role of Profiling Tools Development Engineer within the AI GPU Software Group (AGS). This position plays a critical role in AMD’s ML SDK initiatives, focusing on GitHub Community Support, ROCm documentation, and profiling tools development. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and enhancement of Profiling Tools within the AMD ROCm Stack while collaborating with internal teams and open-source communities.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Profiling Tools team and Product Management to define tool requirements.
- Work closely with third-party open-source tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Design, code, test, and integrate components for both internal and external customers.
- Provide productization support, including field issue resolution.
- Update management on project status and development milestones.
This role is on-site in Bengaluru, India, as the team requires candidates to work from the office for better collaboration and execution.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Strong academic background with a deep understanding of software engineering principles and development methodologies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in performance analysis tools and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in component integration and software debugging.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Exposure to GPU programming, embedded systems, RTOS, and driver development.
- Familiarity with Linux, GitHub, and open-source development environments.
